Opening up shop and everything that comes with it

We’re opening the "doors" at 3Silences Books and we could not be more excited to share what we’ve been building for Parkersburg and the Mid-Ohio Valley. This has always been about more than selling books. It is about access, community, and creating a place where readers feel at home.

Why here and why now

For a lot of folks in the MOV, finding quality new and gently used books has meant shopping big box or going without. We want to change that by making it simple to discover great reads at fair prices while keeping your dollars local. Every order supports a small, independent bookstore right here at home.

• New and gently used books curated across fiction, non-fiction, and popular genres.
• Clear condition grading on used titles: Like New, Very Good, or Good. We do not list anything in poor or unreadable shape.
• Fair pricing with frequent new arrivals so there is always something fresh to browse.
• Fast shipping within the U.S. Most orders arrive in 3 to 5 business days. You will get tracking as soon as your package goes out.
• Straightforward support if something is not as described. Contact us within 30 days of delivery and we will make it right.

Building a local hub

We are online today, and we are working toward a physical storefront in the near future. The goal is a welcoming space where you can browse, meet other readers, and join events that make books feel alive. Think book clubs, local author nights, and a cozy corner to slow down for a chapter or two.

Updates to the site

We will be doing on going maintenance of this site but it's about 85% complete. Most things will be small tweaks and such. So if you find an issue, please reach out to us!

A quick note on quality and returns

We stand behind what we ship. Used titles are checked by hand and graded so you know what to expect. If a book arrives damaged or not as described, reach out within 30 days and we will arrange a replacement or a refund.
